For everyone who thinks Reality TV shows are just a TRP game, you need to think again. Some participants stood out in these contests and have successfully made it big.

Once in a blue moon, while watching our favourite reality shows, a few contestants gain immense fame even if they do not win the show in the end. Sometimes for being very bright or for being too quirky, but mostly for their charismatic personality. Below are five Indian celebs that we love - who have completely overshadowed the winners of their respective TV shows over the years.

Dharmesh Yelande

Dharmesh Yelande was a contestant in Dance India Dance season 2. Soon after the show, Farah Khan’s dancing troop offered him a proposal to join the group. He was in the dance troop that choreographed all the dance moves for the movie Tees Maar Khan. He later went on to star in Remo D'souza's superhit film ABCD.

Ayushmann Khurrana

You probably know Ayushmann Khurrana from MTV Roadies season 2, but before that, he had appeared in another reality show named Channel V Popstars. After Roadies, he hosted a number of other programs on TV. Ayushmann debuted in Bollywood with Vicky Donor alongside Yami Gautam. Apart from being an excellent actor, Ayushmann is a talented singer too.

Kapil Sharma

Kapil Sharma is the most loved and adored TV personality. After winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, he went on to entertain the audience across six consecutive seasons of the Comedy Circus. The talented comedian has his own show now, called Comedy Nights With Kapil. He is loved by the audience for his original ideas and perfect delivery. He also starred in the Bollywood film 'Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karun.'

Arijit Singh

We all know this powerhouse of talent. Arijit Singh made his debut on a hit television reality show called 'Fame Gurukul.' He was one of the many participants, but sadly neither did he win the title nor was he among the finalists. But Pritam, the popular music director, sheltered Arijit under his wings, and the rest, as we all know, is history.

Rannvijay Singh

Rannvijay gained popularity from MTV Roadies Season 1. Following the end of the show, he started hosting and judging Roadies in all the subsequent seasons. He hosted various other reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla and Stuntmania. Rannvijay is the heartthrob for numerous women out there. His popularity and talent also landed him in some Bollywood films like Action Replayy and London Dreams.
