It was sold for $7,500 at an auction. On the Barbie’s waist, there was a tiny diamond-encrusted “B” which alone costs over $25,000.

The famous designer duo David and Phillipe Blond teamed up with the Principal Designer of Mattel, Bill Greening to create a unique Barbie that could be sold to raise funds for charity. The Pink Diamond Barbie was launched at New York Fashion Week in September 2012, and it was sold for $15,000.

Debuted in 1959, the first Barbie donned a black and white bathing suit with golden hair and blue eyeshadow. While this Barbie is considered rare now and has an estimated price of $8,000, an original mint condition doll was sold at an auction for $27,450. The first edition model of Barbie had holes under her feet, while the second edition dolls featured solid feet.

This elegant and exquisite blonde Barbie is one of the most expensive dolls ever sold. Her necklace is designed by the famed designer Stefano Canturi - featuring pink emerald-cut Australian diamonds, bordered by glittering white diamonds. It was sold at an auction for an astronomical amount of $302,500. But this Barbie was specially designed to collect funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

De Beers 40th Anniversary Barbie: $85,000

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Barbie, Mattel teamed up with De Beers in 1999 to create a stunning outfit for this glamorous doll. This Barbie was dressed in a sheer, full-length skirt, styled with a gold bikini top and a tangerine wrap. She rocked a belt featuring 160 diamonds and was sold for $85,000.
