Many consider Gullak as one of the best Indian web series created in the last couple of years. Gullak tells the story of a middle-class family, the Mishras, and the day-to-day struggles of a middle-class family.
Gullak follows the lives of the members of the Mishra family, an archetypal middle-class Indian family that struggles to keep up with the times and its demands. It is streaming on SonyLIV under the banner of The Viral Fever. Gullak is created by Shreyansh Pandey and it stars Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Harsh Mayer, Jameel Khan, and SunitaRajwar in important roles.
Mission Over Mars (MOM)
Mission Over Mars also known as MOM is an inspirational tale about a group of female scientists and their contribution to India’s Mars Mission. It’s streaming on Zee5.
Mission Over Mars (MOM) shows the journey and contribution of female scientists at ISRO in India’s Mars mission. Unlike the movie Mission Mangal, the show does not have a male mentor like the character of Akshay Kumar in the movie. The show is specifically about these women scientists, the issue woman faces in the workplace, and how they manage their professional and personal lives. Unlike its movie counterpart, the show solely focuses on the women themselves, the issues they face as women in the workplace, and their life outside of the office.
Arya
Arya on Disney + Hotstar features Sushmita Sen in the lead role and it tells the story of a woman who has to take charge of the underworld gang his husband was a part of.
Arya has been touted as the comeback vehicle of former Miss World and well-known actress Sushmita Sen. She plays the role of Arya whose husband is a part of a drug syndicate and when he is killed by the rival gang, she has to take charge of the work he left unfinished to protect her children. Directed by Ram Madhavani, it’s a must-watch show which you can watch with your parents.
Tripling
Tripling by TVF is an Indian Hindi web series that comes on TVF Play and YouTube. It's the story of three siblings, two brothers and a sister who had to go on a road trip unwillingly.
Tripling is a web series created by The Viral Fever (TVF) and it’s developed by Sameer Saxena while Sumit Vyas and AkarshKhurana wrote the script. It’s a road trip-based show about two brothers and their sister who drifted apart after growing up and how they rediscover their bond. Starring Sumit Vyas, MaanviGagroo, and Amol Parashar in the lead roles along with actors like Kumud Mishra, Kunal Roy Kapoor, and Sherzan Patel in supporting characters. It’s available on Zee5 for streaming.
