Are you someone who loves French fries in general, in any shape, size, or form? Well, truth be told, who doesn’t? It is the best snack, a good accompaniment to most meals and encompasses the ultimate comfort food- crispy, delicious, and binge-worthy! If you are someone who loves fries, then you also must check out these 5 variations of fries which are gob smacking delicious and will make you crave more!

Chilly cheese fries

These are equivalent to little pieces of heaven, and make you want to keep eating them. It involves a combination of a cheese sauce, spices, tomato paste and other condiments, upon baked fries. These fries are gooey, topped with a smoky chilli sauce and a rich melty homemade cheese sauce. They are delicious and are a meal in itself, as well as excellent accompaniments to burgers! It can be had at any time! Make a plate, next time there is a gathering and it is sure to disappear in minutes. It is also perfect for game days, Super Bowl Parties and even for weekend movie nights!

Curly fries

This is an interesting way to eat fries. It involves spiral fries, and is crunchy, delicious and fun to make and eat! Spiralize the potatoes into fries and soak water in a container for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Combine the flour, paprika, seasoned salt, cayenne, salt and pepper! Next, drain the fries and pat them dry. Lastly, heat 3 inches of oil over medium heat to 365 degrees Fahrenheit. Finally, cook the fries in batches until golden and crispy! Enjoy with the sauce of your choice. These are tasty and fun to eat!  

Peri Peri fries-

Spice up your fries for the extra fiery kick, by converting them into peri peri fries! This would involve a zesty sauce made with lemon and oregano and a contrast to savoury fries. In a bowl, combine the paprika, ground ginger, cardamom, garlic and granulated onion. Toss the fries with the spice mix and enjoy! These fries are spicy, but also extremely delicious, and are a good comfort food, for when you are craving something nice and spicy. Peri peri fries are a delight to be sure! However, do make sure to keep a Coke or water around, as you will need to appease yourself after munching all that spice!

Sweet Potato fries

If you haven’t tried sweet potato fries, then definitely make it a point to try them. They will change your life! They are salty-sweet, crunchy and spicy. What more could you wish for? Get sweet potatoes, slice them thinly, and toss them into cornstarch. Next, fry or bake! Lastly, add seasoning; cayenne pepper, garlic powder and freshly ground black pepper- whatever you like!   Not only are they unique in terms of taste, and nutrition, but these baked sweet potato fries also have a lot of redeeming nutritional properties. They are full of antioxidants, fibre and blood sugar-regulating properties. Additionally, they are a good source of Vitamin C, Manganese, Copper, Pantothenic aid and Vitamin B6. Quite the package no!

Belgian fries-

There has often been a debate about where fries have originated- Belgium, or France? While this debate will keep going on, Belgian fries are truly special. They are thickly cut, and quickly fried twice, with some cooling time in between. This makes the fries crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Better yet, they’re not as greasy as thinly cut fries that are baked once at a longer duration. They are also served with a wide range of delicious sauces!
