Food that will help to reduce body heat

With the rising heat waves, follow these things and keep cool

The functioning of our body is a natural phenomenon but only if it is taken care of properly. While cold foods can cause cold and cough, eating naturally hot food will heat up our stomach, consuming no food will deprive us of energy and similarly, no water intake will deprive the body of water. Likewise, we are all aware of our bodies and what works well for us. But still, there are times when chasing the deadline at work we tend to ignore our bodily signs and consume things that harm us causing a spike in body heat. But fret not here is a list of foods that will help retain the body temperature to normal.

Aloe vera Consume it raw or in the form of juice or apply aloe vera gel on your skin, in any form it will help your body release some heat and calm down. Either use the inside gel of a fresh plant or a pure aloe vera gel. For some added benefits, remember to keep it in the refrigerator before application. For drinking the aloe vera juice, add two tablespoons of fresh aloe vera juice per cup of water to make a drink.

Buttermilk This is a staple drink in any Indian household during summers. A drink made from adding water, curd and salt, buttermilk helps cool down the body and improve metabolism. Since curd is used it is also full of probiotics, vitamins, and minerals that help in restoring the body’s natural energy. Remember, to drink this cold and add honey replacing the salt for taste.

Fenugreek and Peppermint Tea Both, fenugreek - more commonly known as methika dana in India - and peppermint, have various health benefits for the body. Sipping a cup of fenugreek tea or water - that you can obtain by soaking in fenugreekseeds in water overnight - helps getting rid of some excess fluid and detoxifying the body, allowing it to cool off. Likewise, the mint or pudina has a perennial cooling effect. Either use it in a drink or in dressing, it helps bring the body temperature to normal.

Tender coconut and Lemon water Both, tender coconut and lemon, are rich in vitamins and minerals so drinking on either is fruitful. Tender coconut is very rich in minerals and vitamins, lemon is rich in Vitamin C that is crucial in cooling the body. Lemon water also oxygenates the body helping to regain energy and feel fresh during summers.

Other foods that can help you reduce body heat are watermelon, muskmelon, cucumbers, and chili.
