To pursue an MBA degree, students must first clear the MBA entrance exam. Various MBA entrance exams in India are conducted by different organizations.   1. Common Admission Test (CAT): CAT is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams conducted in India by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). CAT scores get accepted by more than 500 MBA programs in India.
  2. Management Aptitude Test (MAT): MAT gets conducted by the All-India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year. MAT scores get accepted by more than 600 MBA colleges in India.
  3. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT): GMAT is a computer-based test conducted throughout the year, and more than 2000 MBA programs from different parts of the world accept GMAT scores. The test assesses a candidate’s verbal, quantitative, integrated reasoning, and analytical writing skills. Unlike other MBA entrance exams, GMAT scores are valid for up to five years.
  4. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT): XAT, conducted by the Xavier School of Management, is held once a year. The test assesses the aptitude of candidates in areas such as the English language, quantitative ability, data interpretation, decision-making, and general knowledge. XAT scores get accepted by more than 150 MBA colleges in India.
  5. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT): CMAT, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is held once a year. The exam tests candidates on their quantitative techniques and data interpretation, logical reasoning, language comprehension, and general awareness. Over 1000 MBA programs in India accept CMAT scores.
