From Corn vision to pallet spawns: Worst maps for Killers in Dead by Daylight
*loads into a match* Loads into the familiar walled map of RPD *breaks PC*
In the asymmetrical game Dead by Daylight, there’s nothing worse than loading into a match as The HillBilly and see the familiar Broken Glasses offering for Lery’s Memorial.
In the game, Realms serve as the arenas where the intense cat-and-mouse gameplay between killers and survivors takes place. Controlled by the Entity, there are different maps within each Realm that spawn random tiles and loops for more unpredictability and playability. While some maps have are outdoor maps, there are indoor maps as well.
For killers and survivors, there are a few maps that are clearly survivor sided. That is of course, if the survivors are skilled as the killer. Few maps make it easy for survivors to hide, loop, complete objectives and restrict killers’ movements with tiles and buildings. Those maps can make the killers lose, not because of skill, but the maps are not as great for them.
Here are the worst maps for killers in DBD.
RPD
Racoon City Police Department entrance hall design is pretty, good loops. But the entirety of the map finds it harder for the killers to navigate. The map, with rooms after rooms, unsafe pallets, is confusing. Killers with powers, like Blight rushes, nurse blinks, huntress’ hatches, billy’s chainsaw attacks can be dodged easily as survivors can lose Line of sight very easily. And truth be told, survivors do not like this map as well.
Badham Preeschool
Consisting of both indoor and outdoor loops, Badham Preschool has strong loops with strong pallets, that is hard for killers to mindgame, especially if the survivors are top tier. The buildings have vaultable windows, and the map also has that insane car loop. Line of sight can be lost by survivors easily and the map is quite big.
The Game
Two floors, big loops, countless pallets, The Game can be torturous for killers. Survivors can easily keep dropping pallets without having to worry about using up all the resources cause there’s safe pallet at most turns. To play killer on the Game is a break pallet simulation, with chases lasting quite long. The generators are rightly spaced, there is a drop from the first floor, strong pallets near basement.
Coldwind Farm
Maps in this Realm are not as bad and you won’t hear many players complain about it. The maps have a tractor, good T and L walls (killers can maneuver it), shack. The corn that surrounds most of the map makes it easier for survivors to hide in. Even in chase, it is easy for killers to get spun in the corn making it hard for mobility killers to track survivors once they are in it.
