Guilty Pleasure Movies You Can Watch To Ease Your Mind

Some of our most favorite films are the ones that we don’t really like talking about although they come handy when you don’t want to work your brain too much.

Some films are so close to our hearts that even though they have failed to make it big in the box office or in the critics’ books; we still like getting back to them every now and then. Guilty pleasure films are great when you have had a rough day and just like your favorite comfort food, these films offer you a gentle warm hug. If you are searching for a film that does not require much mind work and still does the trick, we have some suggestions.

Footloose

Kevin Bacon in a musical! This film marked the prime of the actor’s career although it did not become the talk of the town. The best thing about this film is, however, its gorgeous soundtrack accompanied by some killer dance moves. If you are craving for some nostalgia, particularly that takes you back to your teenage years, this film is for you. Oh and did we mention that it features a young Sarah Jessica Parker in a guest role?

Clue

Blesses with a stellar cast, Clue, is fairly old school but one of the best thrillers out there. However, being a thriller does not necessarily make it a serious one that would keep your brains agitated. Based on a board game, the film is a classic whodunit that blends mystery and comedy in the same package. With some of the best actors Hollywood has ever produced including Christopher Lloyd, Tim Curry, Michael McKean and Madeline Kahn, Clue is both captivating and hilarious.

Ghostbusters

If you look at Ghostbusters now, the graphics might seem a tad bit corny to you, but during its time this film was a rage. The film is a perfect comforting guilty pleasure as you follow around four friends taking up the job of hunting and killing ghosts around town.

Dirty Dancing

Musicals make the best of the guilty pleasure movies. Dirty Dancing features a young Jennifer Garner and Patrick Swayze who although seem to be an unlikely pairing, kill it with their chemistry on screen. Dance around a little on the soundtrack of this film while the film does the rest of the work for you.
