An island country in the Caribbean region of the Americas, Barbados is a developed and peaceful country. Barbados represents a very high quality of life which makes it one of the most flocked tourist destinations in the Caribbean islands. This beautiful lively country has a blend of West African, Portuguese, Creole, Indian and British cultures which gives out the most amazing cuisine. The country besides its lush land, beaches, and multi-traditional cuisine, is also famous for its plenty of golf courses, historic homes, and sporting events. All in all, these things make Barbados an ideal vacation spot. So here is a list of places and things that you must do on your next travel trip to Barbados.

The foamy region of Bathsheba Beach

Located on Barbados' east coast, this beach is a paradise. All you would want to do here is relax and go into a deep slumber while staring at the scenic beauty. The beach also offers dramatic rock formations, a perfect location for surfers, and coasts that bustling with fantastic waves. The beach gets its name from the area's foamy water, called the Soup Bowl. It is a well-known beach amongst the surfing community as they gather here for competitions regularly. Also, Bathsheba beach is a loved spot for kite flying, and beach picnics.

Visiting the distillery at St. Nicholas Abbey

The island is famous for its rum larger distilleries and one can visit distilleries such as the Mount Gay Rum and West Indies Rum. But St. Nicholas Abbey is different from the rest as it distills the rum in traditional small batches. While you may be mesmerized by the distilling process, what is also beautiful to see is a 350-year-old plantation home, comprising a museum filled with antiques; gardens, and orchards spread across the property.

Spending timing at the stunning Rockley Beach

To get grooving to a quintessential Barbados experience, then spending a day at the Rockley beach is a must. This stretch of sandy beach is perfect for spending a lazy day swimming or reading a book by the waves.

The other places to visit and adventures to be a part of in the country are Barbados Wildlife Reserve, Hunte's Gardens, Dover Beach, Carlisle Bay's beaches, Animal Flower Cave, Speightstown, Sandy Lane Beach, Bridgetown, Queen’s Park, and Harrison’s Cave, to name a few.
