Can Dao Prison Complex, a famous museum and prison complex:

Built in 1861 by French colonizers, this is situated on the famous Can Dao archipelago. When French colonizers ruled this place, people with serious crimes were considered harmful to society, thus they were kept in a prison. Unfortunately, in later times, this place was used to capture and keep political opponents. There were tiger caves inside this prison, which were found very recently. This prison complex has become a famous tourist spot, moreover, mannequins have also been placed to represent the brutal experience in a prison.

Hoa Lo Prison, a historically enriched prison with large mannequins:

Likewise the previous one, the Hoa Lo prison was also constructed by the French colonizers. Mostly, political opponents were imprisoned here. Literally, the meaning of Hoa Lo is a fiery furnace or Hell’s hole, depicting the brutality or intense torture of prisoners. Duringthe 1990s, this prison was converted into a museum with life-size mannequins.

KhaiDinh Tomb, a famous mausoleum:

Generally, mausoleums are constructed in remembrance of the Nguyen Dynasty's 12th ruler, Emperor KhaiDinh. Although this is a shorter tomb, the major attraction lies in its elaborate design. The architecture follows both the European and Oriental styles. With a large-sized bronze statue inside, there are some intricate carvings of dragons, elephants, and horses to honor the bodyguards. KhaiDinh tomb was the last tomb to be constructed for any Vietnamese emperor, which makes it a special one.

Cu Chi Tunnels represent a complex underground network used during the war:

You will surely find some underground tunnels in a place where many wars took place. As Vietnam was used by many colonizers, you will find many tunnels scattered in many places. This tunnel was constructed during the French colonial era and was later used for the transportation of food and hiding places for war veterans. Tourists can explore the safer regions of the tunnel. Always remember, it might feel suffocating inside, so, if your lung capacity is very low, do not enter those tunnels.

My Son Cham Ruins represents the glorious time of the Cham dynasty:

Many Hindu emperors ruled Vietnam in ancient times, the most memorable one was the Cham dynasty. Although the memorabilia of this dynasty was destructed during the war and frequent bombings, some ruins are still available for public viewing. There are some remnants of temples. Some of them were constructed during the 4th century AD. Yes, they are so old. As these remnants are situated in the backdrop of a forest area, you must visit this place in the dawn or during sunset to get a mystical feel.
