After all, vehicles these days not only flaunt massive powerful engines but also safety and comfort features that are out of this world. Recently, a motorcycle launched by Honda forced us to go berserk because of its astounding price tag. Launched at INR 37.20 lakh, the 2021 Honda Gold Wing is certainly not for riders from middle-class Indian families. It is a premium motorcycle with a powerful engine and features that are not even found in many good cars. In short, it is a motorcycle meant for the elite people only. In most of our motorcycle related articles, we prefer to focus more on the engine and power delivery. However, the Gold Wing is about the premium features it offers and therefore, allow us the liberty to go ahead with the features first.

Loaded with several electronic aids, the elite touring machine has four riding modes such as rain, sport, touring and economy. The dashboard of the Gold Wing is special because it houses an enormous 7-inch TFT LCD screen that allows a rider to toggle through various information such as tyre pressure, suspension settings, maps, messages, podcasts, audiobooks, music and calls. A rider can connect the phone to the dashboard with the help of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay depending on the device he or she uses. Another special feature of the dashboard is that it is equipped with a gyrocompass and therefore, it displays navigation information even inside the tunnels.

Moving on, the motorcycle is equipped with a loud audio system, walking mode (parking made easy), cruise control, ABS, hill start assist, ride-by-wire tech, Honda Selectable Torque Control, airbag, electric windscreen, heated seats, heated grips and the list is endless.

Onto the engine, the 2021 Honda Gold Wing draws power from a 1,833cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 24-valve, SOHC, flat-6 engine. The powertrain is tuned to produce a peak power of 126bhp at 5,500rpm and a maximum torque of 170Nm at 4,500rpm.
