WOOP stands for Wish, Outcome, Obstacles and Plan. Wish as in what is it that you exactly want in terms of your long term goals. Outcome refers to the results you hope to get from achieving your wish. Obstacles are the hurdles that stand between you and achieving your wish. Plan refers to the steps you are willing to take in order to overcome the obstacles in the way of you achieving your wish.

Break the Long-Term Goals into Chunks

Breaking your long-term goals into shorter chunks helps you in overcoming the obstacle of overwhelming yourself at the thought of a large goal. Breaking your long-term goals into short-term ones would allow you to manage them better and it would seem less of a task to you. Moreover, it would give you a more realistic vision and clarity that would help you to prepare your next steps accordingly.

Integrating your long-term goals with your core values would bring you the motivation you need in order to work towards achieving them.
