How To Become A Morning Person
Most of us are either morning people or night owls, or some combination thereof. As humans, we all have an internal clock known as our circadian rhythm that dictates when we feel most alert or drowsy.
Neuroscientists discovered in 2009 that people's brains are most active in the morning at 9 a.m. and in the evening at 9 p.m. This is simply because we're wired that way. If you're a night owl, don't worry; there are ways you can train yourself to be a morning person.
Being a morning person has several advantages
A new job, a significant life event, or a new relationship may cause you to re-evaluate your morning routine, or you may just desire to make better use of your time in the morning. If you need to be the most attentive between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day, being a morning person can help you focus better, react faster, be more agreeable, and be more conscientious in general than a night owl.
It may be simpler to get up earlier if you do the following three things:
Alter your frame of thinking
There is a method to start the day that allows us to let go of the night before, and to release any heaviness or grogginess in our bodies and minds so that we may start the day feeling fresher, clearer, and brighter. Waking up early may be a challenge at first. Because of this, you must alter your internal dialogue to reflect that you're becoming a morning person, rather than that you can’t.
Maintain a regular sleep and waking schedule
It is absolutely necessary to prepare your body and mind for the next day the night before. It is vital to examine and rebuild your evening routine. Sleeping and getting up at the same time every day is essential for changing your sleep pattern. It's possible to wake up 10 to 20 minutes earlier if you get up every day at the same time using an alarm clock.
Sleep for at least 7-9 hours per night
You should be asleep by 10-11 pm if you want to begin waking up at 6 am.
Eat dinner early in the day
Because they prefer to go to bed later, many night owls eat later in the evening, which is convenient for them. It's important to keep in mind, though, that if you're trying to become more of a morning person, you'll need a three-hour window post supper. During this time your body should be digesting the food you ate. Sleep time should just be for resting and recharging.
