Liquid concealers are the most versatile of the lot. It is easy to apply and one can build by its coverage by choosing how much to apply and blend. They can come in different finish, matte, satin dewy and it best for those with acne-prone or sensitive skin as they don’t clog pores.

Cream concealer are best for correcting discolorations and for those with dry or combination skin type. However, it tends to crease if worn for long time and using pressed power is must to let it sink in.

Choosing the right concealer shade for every skin type

Choose concealer that is half shade lighter than your foundation shade. If you want to conceal under eyes, use “warmer” shades. Use orange to yellow based concealer for blue and purplish dark circles. If you have brownish dark circles, then use a peach, salmon or an orange-based concealer. Green concealers are used to neutralize red spots from acnes, rashesand peach-based color correctors can be used to cover dark or brown spots.

How to conceal the right way with daily make-up hacks

Start your make-up base with a foundation before going with the concealer. If you are using colour correctors, use it before the foundation. Less is more, so start with using less amount of the product so that your base does not look cakey. Set your make-up using pressed power to make it last longer.

Apply concealer in natural light like near a sun-drenched window or under white light.  Draw a triangle with your concealer under your eyes and blend it out with a brush or wet sponge to create an illusion of a lifted face.
