Set Up Ground Rules

Setting up ground rules and sticking to them would make sure that there are lesser conflicts between you to since you would know what is okay and what is not okay. Any time one of you feels that the other is violating the ground rules as aresult of which there’s a tension building, just pull out the roommate agreement!

Create A Personal Space

It is natural that when two people live under the same roof, arguments will happen. However, shouting and fighting would not solve a problem and would rather increase the stressful atmosphere. What you can do instead is create a personal space for you in the living space where you can go and wait until you calm down. Anytime you feel frustrated or stressed because of your roommate, just go to your personal space and don’t come out until you have made peace with it.

Talk It Out

Communication is always the key. If something about your roommate is bothering you, just talk it out with them. Have a heart to heart conversation about what is bothering you and why it is bothering you. Let them justify themselves too and understand where they are coming from.
