Did you know that it is very much possible to do a French pedicure right at home? Imagine how much money you will save! And the results will be no less than salon-like nails!

A French pedicure or manicure is a style of decorating your nails. The tips of your nails will be painted with a thin, white, horizontal line of nail paint, and the plate of your nail will be painted pink, clear, or nude.

It is possible to save tons of money and achieve a perfect French pedicure at home – here is how!

What You Need

  • Nail Polish Remover
  • Tub
  • Epsom Salt
  • Cotton Balls
  • Warm Water
  • Pumice Stone
  • Towel
  • Nail Cutter
  • Nail Filer
  • Cuticle Trimmer
  • Exfoliating Cream
  • Moisturizer
  • Nail Polish (Opaque White And Transparent)
  • Nail Separator
Step 1: Prepare Your Nails

Before doing anything, clean up your nails first. Remove any existing polish on it, and cut them, leaving a bit at the tips. Then, file them. You need to do it from one side to the other. Continue until they are even and smooth. Then, wash your feet.

Step 2: Soak The Feet In Warm Water

Add Epsom salt to a tub of warm water. You can also add a few drops of an essential oil if you like. Rose, lavender, orange, rosehip, and grapefruit are great options. Soak your feet in this water for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Scrub Your Feet

Next comes scrubbing your feet. Dry your feet with a towel once you are done. Use an exfoliator to rub your soles and between your toes. In gentle, circular motions, scrub the flaky dead skin away. This will also soften the thick calluses. Alternatively, you can use a pumice stone.

Step 4: Moisturize

Apply the creamiest of lotions to your feet and massage it in.

Step 5: Use A Cuticle Trimmer

Give some TLC to your cuticles. Apply cuticle oil to your cuticles and massage it in. Then, fix the edges using a trimmer. Cut off the dead and hanging skin. Use a cuticle stick to push back any overgrown skin.

Step 6: Colour Your Nails

Now comes the fun part – colour your nails. You can use toe separators for ease. Apply your choice of nail polish and allow it to dry.

Step 7: Add The French Tips

Using an opaque white nail paint, paint the tips horizontally from one side to the other. Let it dry, then repeat. You can also use a concealer brush to do this. Use even and swift strokes.
