How To Get Rid Of Strawberry Legs

Strawberry legs are the dark spots on your legs that resemble tiny black dots.

If you have noticed tiny black spots on your legs especially after shaving, you have got strawberry legs. The term strawberry legs basically come from the pitted appearance on the skin of your legs that resemble the spots on a strawberry. There could be a million reasons for getting strawberry. You may have clogged pores or skin may be too dry. You many have an underlying skin condition. Whatever the reason is, with a little bit of care for your skin, you can get rid of strawberry legs. Here are a few remedies that you can try to prevent and get rid of strawberry legs.

Moisturise Your Skin

Keeping the hydration of your skin intact is extremely important to prevent and get rid of strawberry legs. Have at least three litres of water every day and moisturise your skin well and regularly. If you have too dry skin, you can even consider moisturising your skin at regular intervals. The more hydrated and well moisturised your skin is, the higher chances you have of getting rid of the strawberry legs.

Exfoliate Your Skin Well

To get rid of strawberry legs, make it a habit of exfoliating your skin every fifteen days. If your condition is severe, you can even exfoliate once every week. Exfoliating your skin well gets rid of the dirt that clog your skin’s pores causing strawberry skin. Exfoliating will get rid of the dead skin cells and the dirt opening up the pore and leaving your legs shiny, smooth and spotless. Skipping this step will leave your pores clogged and when you shave your legs, the air will get inside the pores oxidising and turning darker. Exfoliate well to prevent that.

Try Waxing Or Using Epilators

Shaving your legs is one of the biggest reasons of getting strawberry legs. This is because shaving only shaves of the hair that’s on the outer layer of your skin keeping your pores clogged. On the other hand, waxing or using epilators will remove the hair from the roots. This will minimise the chances of getting strawberry legs. However, remember to follow up with a good skincare routine after you are done with the waxing or using epilator to remove your leg hair. Having a good skincare routine does not let your pores get clogged preventing strawberry legs.
