How to keep your pet-friendly home fur-free

We all love having pets around but do we always love the excess fur flying around?

If you have dogs or cats in your home, you may have occasionally experienced a red eye or a black blazer full of hair. Well, no matter how much we love our pets, cleaning their fur from the house can be a huge task. Especially if you’re a new pet parent, it may even get on your nerves! Cats and dogs always have a tendency to shed a lot of hair during specific months, so here are a few ways you can either control their shedding or keep your home fur-free…

  1. Don’t forget grooming your pets – The most important part of keeping a pet and taking care of them properly is to groom them regularly. If you cannot do it on your own, then it is always a good option to take them to a proper grooming clinic. Trust us, you and your pet will breathe much better once all those extra fur is gone!
  2. Buy them their own furniture – Another important thing to keep in mind. If you don’t want your cat or dog leaving their fur all over your sofa, invest in some beds for them. This will make sure they sleep there and don’t leave off their fur on the sofa you or your guests sit on.
  3. Invest in a good vacuum cleaner or a lint remover – Vacuum cleaner or a lint roller is a must for every pet parent, believe it or not. This will help you clean almost as immediately as you see furballs lying around. You can even use the lint roller on your clothes to make sure there’s no cat or dog hair stuck on your beautiful black dress.
  4. Keep your sheets clean – Yes, we know. Your pets love sleeping on your bed, right? Well if that is the case, then it’s best to change your sheets regularly or even put a bed cover over the sheet you generally sleep on. This will keep away the fur, and you won’t be inhaling it while sleeping.
  5. Buy an effective air purifier – Air purifiers are true god-send! Investing in one will actually make sure that that the air you breathe in your house is clear of not only bacteria but also the flying pet hair that may enter your nose and make you feel sick.
