- Hosts India’s largest convention facility: Hitex-Hyderabad International Convention Center has a sitting capacity of 5000 and build in 291,000 square foot area. It is also India’s most technologically advanced centre with an integrated business hotel, Novotel with 287 rooms.
- Largest monolithic statue of Gautam Buddha: Located in a small island amidst Hussain Sagar lake, the statue of Gautam Buddha is an18-meter-high white granite rock structure. It was sculptured by more than 200 sculptors and weighed more than 450 tons!
- President’s winter home: Hyderabad’s Rashtrapati Nilayam acts as the second home to the President of India. Every year during winters when Delhi becomes extremely cold, the President of India moves to Hyderabad and spends time in this official retreat to perform official duties.
