The Chronicles of Narnia: Disney+ Hotstar

The film follows the life of four siblings being transported to a fantasy world called Narnia through a closet. Based on CS Lewis’ book, the film further shows what happens when Pevensies get into a conflict between a huge god-like lion and the White Witch.

Fantastic Beasts: Amazon Prime Video

A prequel to Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts features a young-er Dumbledore, who had to face the greatest Dark Lord that ever lived before Voldemort, played by Johnny Depp. The protagonist of the film is Eddie Redmayne’s Newt Scamander.

The Spiderwick Chronicles: Netflix

It is based on a series of books by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi. The fun and adventurous fantasy film makes for an engaging watch with Freddy Highmore delivering a fantastic performance.

The Lord of the Rings: Amazon Prime Video and Netflix

A Peter Jackson’s adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s magnum opus, the vision of the trilogy and its visual effects were class apart, and they will take you on a fantasy world like no other.

Pans Labyrinth: Amazon Prime Video

The film by Guillermo del Toro follows the story of a young girl who meets a strange faun creature in a labyrinth. The backdrop is Spain in 1944, five years after the country’s Civil War.

Percy Jackson: Disney+Hotstar

This one is for everyone who loves a dose of Greek mythology and creatures, Moreover, the film is fun, not like other magical films with overarching themes.

Stardust: Netflix

An adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s 1997 novel of the same name, Stardust is about Tristan (Charlie Cox), who enters a magical world to get hold of a fallen star to give his girlfriend that she ends up marrying him. However, once he gets the star, he sounds out that it is a woman.

The Hobbit

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy might not be as good as the The Lord of the Rings trilogy. However, it is a close competitor to Harry Potter. The scenes are superb and the directorship is breathtaking.
