Know the Best Cars from Fast & Furious

The Fast & Furious franchise created a cult by showcasing new, fast and modified cars in all the 13 parts.

Hollywood is known for producing movies that revolve around racing, high-speed chases, and breath-taking crashes. The Fast & Furious franchise has been the talk of the town for over a decade. In 13 parts, the franchise has brought us numerous genres of cars, and kept adding a megastar one after the other. The franchise lived up to its name by outdoing physics-defying stunts with cars. Some were shot using CGI, but the difference was hardly noticed.

It’s difficult to count the total number of cars used by the franchise so far. Hence, we have narrowed down the list to a handful few, which car enthusiasts would love to know about.

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse

The Eclipse appeared in the first part of the Fast & Furious movie where Brian O’ Conner (Late Paul Walker) was seen driving this against Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel). The movie showed O’ Conner losing the race, and later on, the car was shot and destroyed by Johnny Tran’s crew. The car was equipped with a 1,997cc engine that churned out 146hp of power and 195Nm of torque. It had a multipoint injection system and clocked a top speed of 200 kmph.

1967 Ford Mustang

This classic muscle car was spotted in the Tokyo Drift part of the Fast & Furious franchise. Lucas Black played by Sean Boswell used this car in the climax scene to defeat his opponent Takashi. The Ford Mustang consisted of a V8 4-valve carburettor engine with a total horsepower of 271.

Lykan HyperSport

Only seven ever made in the world and hence, it deserves a special mention in our list. Guess what? An eight-piece was made just for the movie, and it was destroyed. In Fast & Furious 7, this car was used to jump from one building to another in Dubai. A car worth 3.5 million dollars went in waste. On the mechanical front, it features a 3.7 L twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that produces a massive 780hp and hits a top speed of 395 kmph.

70’s Dodge Charger

In the franchise, Charger is Dominic’s most prized possession as he is seen using this beast in three different parts- first, fourth and fifth. Back in the day, this classic featured a V8 engine.

The Fast & Furious 9 is to be released soon, and as per the already released trailer, the crew will use more cars like the 1968 Dodge Charger 500, the 2020 Toyota Supra and a Yamaha YZ450F motorcycle as well.
