Laws of Gravitation doesn’t work in these places

Probably the “law of gravitation” that we learnt in our junior schools was among the first scientific laws.

We were strictly taught that it is the gravitational force of the earth that prevents us and every other thing on this planet from floating. But there are some places on earth the force of gravitation is zero and hence various other phenomenon is at work.

The list of place around the globe where gravity doesn’t work is as follows.

The Upside-Down Waterfall- Waipuhia Falls

Although the name suggests it to be a fall but situated in the outer cliffs of Hawaii, the water of the Waipuhia falls spray high into the sky instead of falling and this is not an optical illusion. The main reason behind this abnormality has more to do with the cliff that it sits upon. As the waterfalls, the strong winds push back the water upside to spray it over the land above giving you an amazing view of the upside-down waterfalls.

The Santa Cruz’s Mystery Spot- the Gravity Hill

Apart from being home to moderate climate, natural environment and redwood forests, Santa Cruz is also home to the mystery spot of a gravity hill. The nature of this spot is a bit tilted and it defies gravity. In this area, buildings appear a bit slanted, water and other objects seem to run uphill and the people do not fall upon their face when leaning at a 45O angle. Years of research have been conducted to understand the reason behind this spectacular phenomenon but no particular answers have been recorded.

The Concrete Arch Gravity Dam- Hoover Dam

Located over the Colorado River in the USA, it is known to create a vacuum that sprays the water that is being poured back up. The shape of the dam and wind is the reason why tourist witnesses such unusual sights. When the wind hits the side of the dam, it is propelled upwards by its shape which creates an upward vision.

The Golden Rock

The Golden Rock situated in Myanmar has been defying the rule of gravity for over centuries. A 611-ton giant rock is perched up high on the side of Mt. Kyaiktiyo and is believed to be held by a single hair-strand of Lord Gautama Buddha. Although the actual reason behind this site is not discovered till today, it is a well-known Buddhist pilgrim site that attracts many travellers from around the world.

The Spook Hill

Situated in Lake Wales, Florida the name Spook Hills is enough to get you excited. The cars on this road have been witnessed to roll uphill rather than going downhill which essentially defies gravity. The Spook Hills is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and attracts visitors from throughout the world who come to experience the anti-gravity hill.

The only thing that we can always count on is gravity. It keeps our feet firmly planted to the ground but these places which deny the law of gravitation must be visited at least once.
