Learn how the population is affecting healthcare facilities.

Overpopulation is affecting our lifestyle in different ways, and healthcare facilities are one of its negative impacts.

Healthcare facilities are one of the primary concerns for every country. Therefore, we have designated a ministry to look after the health and welfare of the citizens. They appoint qualified doctors, nurses and other healthcare officers to treat the concerned patients. Similarly, building well-equipped infrastructures also fall under their work curriculum. As a result, the awareness about health and development is growing among all.

Today, there is an interacting problem between population growth and development which gets impossible to solve by concentrating on a single program. Citizens are at high risk of getting exposed to air-borne and other diseases due to a population explosion. A study report concludes that the denser the population, the higher is the risk to human health. Urban crowding and change in the environment result in health issues such as infectious diseases.

Overpopulation is affecting the necessities of life, such as food, water and air. As a result, polluted water gets supplied to the households, which becomes difficult to treat using traditional methods such as boiling and filtration. Similarly, population explosion releases toxic contents in the air, resulting in polluted air for inhalation. It is so because the denser the population more is people using the vehicle for transportation. The use of motor cars and vehicles releases harmful gases into the environment, causing harm to the entire population. Today, the majority population is suffering from respiratory diseases, such as asthma, cardiovascular diseases, congestion, lung problems, throat infections and others.

As the report suggests, the increased population is one of the causes behind ozone layer depletion. We are no longer getting protected from the harmful UV; as a result, causing various skin problems- premature ageing, skin cancer, blemishes, dark spots, etc. UV rays also cause eye problems such as low visibility, blindness and cataracts.

According to various study reports, it gets proved that overpopulation is the root cause of several health problems. As a result, governments are facing difficulties to scale up health care systems and other facilities. It is an emerging situation affecting the health of the citizens; therefore, experts should come up with a solution to deal with the problem.

As concluded, we can deal with the increasing rate of the explosion of the population by spreading awareness about family planning programs, birth control measures, providing access to birth control devices and educating the citizens about overpopulation.
