These days because of technological advancements most of them have become obsolete. However, their unique architecture is something to see and they can offer up some spectacular views. There are two lighthouses in Puducherry. One was built in the 19th century by French rulers. The other lighthouse was only functional somewhere around 1979. While the second one is more modern, the older one is rich with history. These lighthouses are worth visiting for their history and stunning design.

The Vizhinjam lighthouse in Kovalam is a beautiful one. It used to be a very seaport in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Its striking red and white colour stand out on rocky terrains. Aguada in Goa

The Aguada fort in Goa houses a lighthouse, which not many people may know. This white structure is beautiful but broader and shorter than your usual lighthouse. You can enjoy some breathtaking panoramic ocean views. It has also reportedly been featured in many movies.

Dwarka in Gujarat
