Kahaani (2012)

But the domestic collection of this film was 104 crores! This Mystery Thriller has won critical acclaim, three national awards and more. The international collection of this movie is about 92 crores.

Peepli Live (2010)

In the list of Indian political films, this movie must be recommended by many people to others. Produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Anusha Rizvi, this satirical comedy film had a budget of just Rs 10 crores. But the domestic collection of this movie was 46.89 crores. The International Collection was almost the same. The film was considered the third highest-grossing film in the domestic market of the U.S. on the opening weekend.

This thriller movie directed by Neeraj Pandey is probably already seen by everyone. Inspired by the Tamil movie "Unnaipol Oruvan", the budget of this movie was only five crores. Vicky Donor surprised the audience of Indian cinema with a unique story and film title. This Rom-Com was directed by Shoojit Sircar. An imitation of the French movie "Le Diner de Cons", Sagar Ballary's movie "Bheja Fry" had a budget of only 60 lakhs. After its release in 2007, the movie became a hit at the Indian box office. The movie has collected around 18 crores worldwide. The domestic collection was about eight crores. Also, a sequel of this movie came out in 2011.
