Tinted moisturizer is the lovechild of a foundation and a moisturizer and we bet you’re going to love it!

If you have not been shielding yourself from the recent beauty trends, you must know that tinted moisturizers are all the hype in beauty right now. It is because it has all the best things in beauty and skincare combined to give you the perfect glowing and natural looking skin. For those people who do not like to use heavy makeup on a daily basis, tinted moisturizers would be your go to makeup product. It gives a skin like finish and is easy to use. Here is a step by step guide to using a tinted moisturizer the right way!

Step 1 –Wash, Hydrate And Moisturize Your Face

Like every make up routine, even with tinted moisturizers, you need to start with a clean and fresh face. Remember that tinted moisturizers have makeup mixed in them and would, therefore, need some hydration before you apply it. Wash you face with a face wash and massage the lather well. Once you have rinsed off the face wash, pat it dry. Do not be rough on your skin with the towel as it may cause micro tears. Now, spray a toner or face mist on your skin to get some more hydration. Better hydration means a better makeup application. Once you have let the face mist get absorbed into your skin for two to three minutes, proceed with a normal hydrating moisturizer to lock all the goodness in.

Step 2 –Apply An Even Layer Of The Tinted Moisturizer

Pick a tinted moisturizer that is close to your skin tone. If the shade is lighter, it would make you face look gray. Take the tinted moisturizer in your finger and dot it on your face. Now, in a gentle motion, slowly massage the tinted moisturizer into your skin using your middle and ring fingers. Make sure you are applying the moisturizer evenly to avoid it looking patchy.

Step 3 –Use A Concealer For Extra Coverage

A tinted moisturizer would even your skin tone without offering you much coverage. If you feel like you need a little more coverage use a concealer that matches your skin tone. Apply the concealer on your dark spots, pigmentation and blemishes. Blend it well using a brush or a makeup sponge. Set it with a powder and you’re done!
