May 7 every year is celebrated as World Athletics Day all over the globe. The occasion’s main objective is to spread awareness of fitness and encourage people of all age groups to participate in sports. The event is very significant and involves thousands of young people in various athletics activities.
The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) introduced this event in 1996 as a social responsibility project titled “Athletic for a Better World”.
Every year, it is celebrated in various ways, including workshops, seminars, training sessions, and competitions.
Today, on World Athletics Day, let’s discuss the importance of sports in a student’s life.
