Most IPL runs without a duck

Before being dismissed for a duck, David Miller scored 1450 runs in the IPL, the most by any batsman. There is one unique record which is held by the South African batsman. He scored 1450 runs in the tournament before pocketing his first duck, the most by any batsman.

Suresh Raina 1408 runs Suresh Raina has made 5489 runs in the IPL at an average of 33.26 and strike rate of 136.98. The Chennai Super Kings batsman has also struck 39 half centuries in the competition with the help of over 500 boundaries and over 200 sixes. He has the best of 100 not out and scored over 1400 runs before bagging his first duck in the IPL.

Dwayne Bravo 1154 runs Raina's team mate and quality all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is mostly known for his bowling, but has played some fine knocks over the years with the bat as well. Bravo has made 1510 runs from 144 matches at an average of 22.87 and strike rate of 129.05 with 5 half centuries and the best of 70 not out. He was not dismissed for a duck in the IPL until he reached 1154 runs.

Matthew Hayden 1076 runs Another Chennai Super Kings' stalwart left handed opener Matthew Hayden scored over 8000 runs before getting dismissed for a duck in the IPL. He made 1107 runs at an average of 36.90 and a strike rate of 137.51 and had some red hot moments in the cash rich league.

Shubman Gill 1028 runs Shubman Gill is the only batsman in the IPL to have scored over 1000 runs without being dismissed for a duck. Gill has scored 1028 runs from 47 matches in the IPL at an average of 30.23 and a strike rate of 124.75. He had a good IPL 2020 in which he scored 440 runs at an average of 33.84 but his strike rate of 117.96 was below par.

His IPL 2021 campaign did not get off to the greatest of starts, with the opener scoring just 89 runs from his first six matches.
