Motorcycles from the Sets of the Terminator

The sales figures of the Harley-Davidson Fatboy had an enormous positive growth when actor Arnold Schwarzenegger rode the cruiser in Terminator: Judgement Day (Part II)

The Terminator franchise from Hollywood is one of the most loved movie series in the world. The concept of machines taking over the human world blew everybody’s mind in 1984 when the first part was released. In the movie series, several car and motorcycle chasing scenes were created which wooed the audience and also impacted the sales figures of the vehicles that were utilized. Therefore, we’ve drafted this piece to recall the iconic motorcycles and scooter ridden by the actors in the film.

1984 Honda Elite CH125- The Honda Elite CH125 was ridden by the character of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) in the first part of the Terminator franchise. The Elite CH125 was the first four-stroke scooter from the Japanese manufacturer Honda. Named as Spacy in Europe, the Elite was powered by a 125cc four-stroke engine which was created to bring the emission level down. Furthermore, the scooter was laden with features such as a liquid-cooled engine, retractable headlamp and a digital dashboard. Such features on a scooter were never seen before in that era.

1972 Honda CB750 Four K2- In a chasing scene in the first part of the Terminator movie series, this motorcycle was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger (who was the antagonist in the first part). The Honda CB750 Four K2 was powered by a 736cc transverse four-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled engine. It was tuned to produce a peak power of 67hp at 8,000rpm and a torque figure of 60Nm at 7,000rpm mated to a five-speed gearbox. The front of the motorcycle was armed with a 296cc disc, whereas the rear had a drum set.

1992 Harley-Davidson Fatboy- The Fatboy was used in the second part of the movie. At that time, Fatboy was not doing well in the market, but its sales figures had a positive growth when the movie was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The 1,338cc V-Twin engine used to churn out 59hp of power and had a top speed of 106 mph turned into an icon.

Ducati Monster 1100 S- In ‘Terminator: Salvation’ part, the Ducati Monster 1100 S was displayed as a heavily modified autonomous motorcycle that was programmed by the Terminators to hunt down the humans and execute patrolling duties. In real life, the Monster 1100 S was (production discontinued) powered by a 1,078cc L-Twin, liquid-cooled engine that was tuned to develop a peak power of 95hp at 7,500rpm.
