A remarkable stage and on-screen actor

Actor, film producer, and director, actor Ralph Fiennes is best known as a Shakespeare interpreter. The actor rose to fame as an actor with theatre owing his first onstage performance at the Royal National Theatre. Fiennes made his big-screen debut with the portrayal of Heathcliff in the 1992 Emily Brontë film Wuthering Heights. The actor, however, rose to unexpected stardom with his portrayal of a Nazi war criminal AmonGöth in Schindler's List. This character earned him nominations for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor, and also won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. A Bigger Splash

This 2015 psychological drama film is taken from a story by Alain Page. The film starring TildaSwinton, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Dakota Johnson, besides Ralph Fiennes, is said to be loosely based on the 1969 Jacques Deray film La Piscine. The story of the film begins with an isolated villa located on a small Italian island where famous rock singer Marianne Lane is on holiday with her filmmaker lover Paul. While she has lost her voice is recovering from surgery, he is in recovery from alcohol addiction. With neither of the two knowing how to Italian, the couple is left in their solitude only to be interrupted by an aeroplane from Rome. From here on, the story takes an upside interest as the aeroplane brings some undesired visitors.

Coriolanus

This 2011 British film is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's tragedy Coriolanus. The film is directed by Ralph Fiennes, who also plays the titular character. This film is Fiennes' directorial debut and also stars Gerard Butler, Vanessa Redgrave, and Brian Cox. The film opens in Rome where riots are in progress, particularly angry at Caius Martius, played by Ralph Fiennes, who is a brilliant Roman general who is blamed by the rioters for the city's problems.
