Ladies of the Chorus

This 1948 musical romance film was directed by Phil Karlson. The film has actors Adele Jergens and Rand Brooks, besides Marilyn Monroe. The film is based on a story by Sauber and is Monroe’s first major role in her career. The plot of the film revolves around Peggy Martin and her mother Mae. Both of them work as burlesque chorus girls. Soon after star Bubbles LaRue quits, the stage manager asks Mae to perform a special number.

As Young as You Feel

This 1951 comedy film has actors Monty Woolley and David Wayne, besides Marilyn Monroe who has a small role to play. Directed by Harmon Jones, the plot of the film starts when printer John R. Hodges is forced to retire at age 65 because of a company policy. Angered, he decides to take some action about it and colors his hair black, posing to be Harold P. Cleveland, the president of his former employer's parent company. After this, he does an inspection tour of his old workplace. From here the fun of the movie begins.
