Life of a film lies in its music

Music is one of the topics in every Anurag Kashyap movie - from the background score of the various sequences of the movie to the soundtrack, from the playback to the bar song. Such an appropriate use of music and also in the case of each song in each picture can be said to be a unique quality.

Music and song are of immense importance in both parts of Gangs of Wassepur. The background music of the movie is one of the parts of the movie. The two movies are a perfect example of the fact that even a background score can evoke a newcomer.

Background Score for both the parts were designed by G.V. Prakash Kumar.

Foley was done by Sayed Alam, Karnil Singh and Sajjan Chowdhury, recorded by Varun Visoi

Sound was designed by Kunal Sharma.

There were 14 songs used in part 1 of the film. 13 of them were written by Varun Grove and were composed by Sneha Khanwalker.

Ik bagal is the only song by Piyush Mishra which is used in this film. The song was written, composed and sung by Piyush Mishra.

Jiya Tu

This 5:19 minute long song was sung by Manoj Tiwari.

This is a 5:09 minute long song by Bhupesh Singh and Manish J Tipu.

Keh Ke Lunga

All the songs used in both parts of the film are masterpieces of the history of Indian Cinema. These songs have a special contribution to make the movie complete and its meaning more clear to the audience. And the continuity of history, the internal diplomatic politics of the family, the class conflict, the way masculinity has been manifested through this film, has been perfected by the use of these songs.
