The sooner the better if we start caring about our health

After a certain age, the body starts to function differently, especially so in the case of women. With time the body requires more nutrition and nourishments than the usual consumption. It is like the machinery gets old so the feeding of it has to be better to make it work efficiently. It just so happens that with age the mechanism of the body gets a little old and requires more work. And with women, the need for nourishment is all the more. While you can buy the packed supplements and chug them down like prescribed medicine or you can choose the high road and rebuilt the body naturally. So here are some foods that women over 40 must include in their daily diet for a smooth and healthy function of the body.

From the lands of greens

Green leafy vegetables and the rest of the other green vegetables are a natural source of iron for all body types. This includes spinach, kale, swiss chard, collard greens, arugula, lettuce, peas, and green beans, to name a few as they contain high levels of iron that are important for the body as it ages. These are also great anti-oxidants besides being rich in vitamin C and vitamin K that is important for strengthening the bones.

In fact, it has a much higher fiber content than other grains, as well as has a high value of protein, all the essential amino acids, rich in magnesium, iron, folate, and Omega-3 fatty acids.
