A state of the northeast in India, Mizoram literally means the land of Mizos. It is a state of lush green landscapes, mountains, rich culture, and traditions. A landlocked state, Mizoram shares borders with Tripura, Assam, and Manipur, as well as with Bangladesh and Myanmar. The state is known for its peculiar taste, food, and ethnicity which can be experienced only once you land in Mizoram. The best time to visit Mizoram is between November to March, as the weather is perfect to take a stole around the lanes and even joy the winters. Here are some places you must visit in Mizoram.

This beautiful town is located between Mat and Tuikam Rivers and is home to Mizoram’s highest waterfalls and eighth highest mountain. Not only this, Serchhip is also famous for being the district with the highest literacy rate in India. A small town, Serchhip is filled with experiences for it will transport you into a village so far from the city. Serchhip is also known for living a sustainable life. Lunglei is the second-largest city in Mizoram and is situated at a higher altitude. The meaning of Lunglei literally means 'the bridge of rock' but the town is famous for its picturesque beauty. Right from the magnificent hills, greenery all around, and the culture, all are great tourist-attracting factors. Some other places to visit in Lunglei are Lunglei Rock Bridge, Serkawn, Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary, Nghasih Stream, TheiriatTlang, Thorangtlang Wildlife Sanctuary, and Saza Wildlife Sanctuary.

A place to experience all the adventures –Champhai

This town of Mizoram overlooks the largest plains in the state. Champhai is famous for offering tourists some spectacular views of Myanmar’s mountainous ranges. Besides the majestic views, Champhai is also known for being the home to ancient relics and monuments.
