The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci
The figure head of Leonardo da Vinci with her enigmatic smile is one of the most baffling art pieces ever made. One of the leading pieces on display at Louvre has given birth to many theories and even bestseller books.
According to artist Giorgio Vasari, the woman in the painting is Lisa Maria Gerardia, wife of Francesco del Gioconda, a local official with political ties with Medici family. The painting was made on his commissioning. But many has ripped apart the theory and tried to establish that Mona Lisa’s hidden appearance is in fact depiction of thepainter himself, in feminine form!
Statue of Liberty by Auguste Bartholdi
The centerpiece statue of the United States stands for universal symbol of freedom. It was originally received as an emblem of friendship between the U.S and France and was designed by French sculptor Auguste Bartholdi. It was given to mark the hundred-year anniversary pf the U.S Declaration of Independence.
Even with all the morals and thoughts it stands for on closer inspection, one detail stands in contrast to the symbol, a chain at the statue’s feet. Then could it be called a symbolof free in plain sight? No one knows.
Stonehenge in prehistoric England by Merlin
The enormity of the sites stone erects suggest that a lot of planning and work. Was involved in building up the site, prompting debate on what was the purpose of its construction. According to British cleric Geoffrey of Monmouth the Arthurian wizard created the Stonehenge by means of magic or machinery. Archeologists, however argue that it is Neolithic ritual site that was created to align with certain astronomical events at night. Without any clue, the mystery persists.

According to the Greek archaeologist the face hammered in gold and discovered in the royal shaft of an ancient Greek site belonged to mythical Greek war hero Agamemnon reinstating his existence for real and confirming the mythic Trojan War. However, dating of the mask indicates it comes from several centuries before the period of the legendary Trojan War.
