Nepal: The Best Place For A Budget Trip

Here is a list of few places that you should not miss if you want to visit Nepal.

Nepal is an incredibly diverse country that attracts visitors for lots of reasons. Nepal may be an exciting adventure, a cultural eye opener, a life-changing experience, or all of them. There are a lot of places to visit in Nepal which attract people.

Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital and the biggest town in Nepal like no other town in the world. The decaying buildings in the heart of the town are a stark contrast to the energetic environment that permeates the streets. The scent of incense wafts from stores while street sellers push their goods, and people go about their everyday lives, all against a backdrop of historic temples and carved statues.

The Bodhanath Stupa

Just right outside of Kathmandu, it is one of the biggest stupas of its type in the world. It lies on the vintage trade route to Tibet and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stupa itself is an image of enlightenment however at Boudhanath the symbolism is especially clear. Brought together in the shape of the stupa, their unity reflects in abstract style the shape of the universe itself.

Pokhara

Set at the bottom of the foothills and surrounded by a number of the highest mountains in the world, Pokhara is one of the most scenic cities of Nepal. For trekkers, Pokhara is the gateway to the Himalayas and the start line for treks to Jomsom and the Annapurna region. It's also an excellent spot to relax for a bit, both before or after a trekking trip.

The Langtang Region

home to Langtang National Park, this is an amazing place for trekking, with high passes, massive views, antique monasteries, and beautiful mountain scenery. Rhododendron forests bloom all through the spring trekking season including colour to the vistas.

Swayambhunath

Set on a hilltop to the west of Kathmandu, Swayambhunath is the second most crucial shrine in the Kathmandu Valley after Boudhanath. It is also known as monkey temple. Due to the resident monkeys that inhabit elements of the temple, it is more affectionately known as the Monkey Temple.

White water rafting

With towering mountains and rushing rivers Nepal is a superb location for white water rafting. Several options are available depending on how much time you need to spend at the river.
