Ntorq Race XP: The Fastest 125cc Scooter in India

In 2021, TVS Ntorq Race XP is the sole 125cc scooter in the Indian market to offer over 10hp of power The Ntorq from Hosur-based manufacturer TVS is one of the most loved scooters in the Indian market, especially among young riders. After all, there are a very lesser number of scooters in the Indian market that offer a sporty look and aggressive performance. Keeping in mind the love for Ntorq among the young-gen, TVS has launched a newer version of the Ntorq which is called the Ntorq Race XP.

In 2021, TVS Ntorq Race XP is the sole 125cc scooter in the Indian market to offer over 10hp of power. Although the scooter still runs on the previous-gen 125cc, liquid-cooled engine, thanks to its revised gas flow dynamics; the engine of the new Ntorq generates 10.2PS of power and 10.8Nm which is more than the other variants such as the Race Edition and Super Squad.

Apart from tweaking the engine to generate more power, the Race XP is loaded with new technological features. Similar to its Apache range, TVS has left no stone unturned to make its Ntorq a premium scooter. For the first time in the country, an ICE scooter features riding modes such as rain and sport. Not to forget, it is also the first scooter in the nation to be armed with a voice-assist system that enables a rider to access features such as DnD mode, riding mode change, instrument cluster brightness adjustment, and navigation.

Apart from the new additional features, the Race XP is more or less the same with a similar suspension and braking setup. On the front, one gets the same LED headlight unit along with a fully digital instrument cluster. The body has new sportier vinyl stickers and the rims of the XP are painted in red.

Commenting on the scooter during the launch event, Vice President (Marketing), Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand said, “TVS NTORQ 125 has redefined the expectation from a scooter in India - it ushered in the age of the exciting, powerful, connected scooter for the always-connected Gen Z. It comes armed with the highest power in the segment, first-in-segment dual ride modes, delivering higher top speed and superior acceleration. This is made possible through our continuous advancements in engineering and pursuit of consumer delight, like engine breathing and combustion optimisation and usage of advanced engineering polymers, high strength steel and other alloys leveraging continuous computer-aided design simulation. Crafted for those in the “always-on” GenZ, who love to rev it up, the array of best-in-class connectivity and vehicle features coupled with segment-first 10.2 PS power will excite the Gen Z.”
