There is a common saying that where science stops thinking philosophy starts its journey. Throughout the history of philosophy, philosophers of their contemporary time always made a great impact on the people of their time. Philosophy can’t be constrained in a particular circle of subjects. Philosophy consists of different aspects like psychology, history, politics, societal norms, economy etc. There are several different schools of thought in philosophy for instance existentialism, emasculation, salvation etc. Some philosophers are very popularly read worldwide and said to be saviours of people at their lowest. Here are some philosophers you must read to bring a difference in your routine lifestyle and to get rid of the monotony and pain that you are continuously suffering from

Friedrich Nietzche:

When it comes to life-changing philosophers, the first name that anyone will have is Friedrich Nietzche. Though it is a little bit tough to understand the philosophical concepts and thoughts of Nietzche, they are very realistic and can make a great impact on a person's life. His concepts are tough to understand because he used several mythological characters and used a lot of allegories in all of his philosophical writings. But if someone read the precise version or analytical summaries of his philosophical writings, then he or she can understand the vastness of his works and the numerous various fields he worked on. Most of his writings and works consist of thoughts revolving around complex contents like existentialism, nihilism, power of will, the way towards salvation, emasculation, emancipation from negative thoughts and a lot more. Some of his famous philosophical works which are quite popular and famous and have always been known as life-changing for several people are Der Wille zur Macht (1901), The Will to Power, translated by Walter Kaufmann and R.J. Hollingdale. Der Antichrist (1895) popularly known as The Antichrist, Sprach Zarathustra, ( 1885) popularly known as Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Jenseits von Gut und Böse (1886) bitterly known as Beyond Good and Evil are some of the masterpieces by Nietzche that can change a human's life.

Arthur Schopenhauer:

Arthur Schopenhauer is one of the most notable and best philosophers in the field of existentialism in the mid 18th century. But the tragedy is that he never gained much fame like post-Kantian philosophers like G.W.F Hegel, Friedrich Nietzche etc. But most of these philosophers' works have some influence on Arthur's philosophical thoughts. The important idea that Arthur Scophenhauer introduced to the world of philosophy is the concept of pessimism. Sometimes he is called the father figure of pessimistic philosophy. He interpreted the whole world as a huge machinery of suffering and pain, he also used to think that the whole world is somehow irrational. Precisely it is to be said that if we try to define any term like " Absolute happiness" that would be an act of fool cause there are no such parameters based on which we can define and determine the degree or intensity of the happiness. All we can find is a comparison between the happy and sad events of our life, it is impossible to determine the absoluteness in them. In the year 1851, he published a collection of his philosophical thoughts, quotes, essays and aphorisms titled Parerga and Paralipomena are popularly known as Secondary Works and Belated Observations. There are a lot more philosophical books and essays by him that one must read: The World as Will and Representation, which was translated by E.F.J. Payne from the original German version in 1969.

On the Will in Nature which was translated by E.F.J. Payne was edited by David Cartwright.

Bertrand Russel:

Bertrand Russel worked on a very significant aspect of philosophical history which is called the philosophy of science rather than perspectivism. He was a firm believer in rational thinking and the method of scientific analysis of any thought. Some of his great masterpieces that one must read are The Conquest of Happiness, The Analysis of Mind, Marriage and Morals, The History Of Western Philosophy etc.

Though there are more to add to the list these are philosophers one must read to change his lifestyle and thought process.
