Places that you can visit in the northeast India

The northeast of India oozes peace and serenity mainly for the beauty of the scenic valley all around.

The northeast of India can be seen as the crown of India and it is one of the most beautiful places in the country that you can visit. It is much more than only momos and Gurkhas, the culture and beauty of the place will attract you whenever you think about the place. So here in this blog I will introduce you to some of the scenic places that you can visit in the northeast of India.

Pack your bags and go to these places in Arunachal Pradesh

If you are wondering where to start from, take my suggestion and start from Arunachal Pradesh. Sitting near the border of China, Arunachal Pradesh has it all which will make you go crazy, especially two places Tawang Monastery and Ziro Valley. The monastery is situated at 10,000 feet and is home to nearly 450 monks. All you can do here is sit back, explore the culture and admire the scenic beauty in the evening. However, if you like music and that culture drives you, then you must visit the Ziro valley especially during the end of September where you will get to enjoy a three day rock concert and the scenic beauty all around is the cherry on the top.

Let’s move to the abode of clouds Meghalaya

A visit to Meghalaya will make you feel like you are in the clouds and it is literally so. If you visit this place you will suddenly find yourself walking through the clouds. There are two places in Meghalaya which are an absolute must visit, Cherrapunji and Jaintai hill. Cherrapunji is the wettest place in India and the most famous attraction of the place is living root bridges which are formed by heavy rain. Apart from this place, if you are an adventure junkie then the Jaintai hill is the best place for you. The hill is filled with limestone deposits and also houses a number of caves. You can take a thrilling boat ride through the caves and explore them and it will become the most mesmerizing and memorable trip ever.

So here are two of the places which are an absolute favorite of mine and I like to visit these places over and over again.
