Officially called the Republic of Cuba, it is the largest island in Cuba and in the Caribbean. This island comprises the island of Cuba, Isla de la Juventud, and a number of minor archipelagos. This magnificent colourful island though culturally is considered to be a part of Latin America but Cuba is home to multiethnic culture people embracing varied traditions and customs. The island of white sand, blue turquoise waters and lush green land presents to travellers a magical blend of nature, history, and city life. This is what makes it one of the most attractive tourist destinations with millions of tourists visiting Cuba every year. Known for its cigars, American vintage cars, and rum distilleries, Cuba has something for everyone. So here is a list of places you must visit on your trip to Cuba for a fulfilling experience.

Visit the first city of Cuba – Baracoa

Yes, Barraco is also known as the 'First City of Cuba' which is rightly so maintained through its colonial architecture buildings adding majestic charm to the city. Go check out the Catedral de Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion. While the buildings make up half the magic, the rest is filled by is surrounding rainforest. Therefore, making it also fit for a walk in nature and to experience some adventure in the jungles. Well, there is also the famous mountain El Yunque that overlooks the city. People gather in large numbers to enjoy the scenic views. You can go hiking, trekking, sightseeing, and do adventurous activities on the beach.

Walk down the medieval town of Cienfuegos

Also called the La Perla del Sur or Pearl of the South, Cienfuegos is a town dripping in the time of yore. This city is unlike other islands also because it was founded by the French, hence the charm. Cienfuegos has some very well preserved 1950s homes, and numerous unique structures built with mid-century modern architecture replicas. The peninsula of Punta Gorda is a must-see. But the attraction is the centre of Cienfuegos, Pueblo Nuevo. Cienfuegos is home to some beautiful parks, has exciting city life, white gold beaches, a history museum, cafes, and restaurants to explore.

Havana

This is the vibrant capital city of Cuba. The charm is the mix of colonial mid-century buildings and modern cosmopolitan cities. Explore the nightlife culture, beaches; go for adventure sports, swimming, fishing, and sightseeing.
