There are thousands of pyramids around the world. There are lots of myths that remain unsolved around pyramids. Most impressive pyramids can be seen in Mexico, Bosnia, Egypt, Peru, Indonesia, Italy, Sudan and China.
Egypt
There are around 118 identified pyramids around Egypt. The Giza necropolis includes the Great pyramid of Giza, the pyramid of Khafre and the pyramid of Menkaure. They are constructed between 2500- 2600 BC.
Pyramid of Djoser is the world’s oldest monumental structures. The step pyramid is the earliest large scale cut stone construction made by man. It was built around 27th century BC for the burial of king Djoser.

Mexico
There are many unknown pyramids in Mexico. In fact, there are many pyramids that have been discovered inside deep jungles. The pyramid structures were constructed by pre-Columbian cultures like Mayans, Olmecs, Mixtecs, Toltecs, Zapotecs and Aztecs. They are aged around two millennia and built around 900 BCE to 1000 CE.
Iraq has pyramid?Yes they do! Ziggurat of Ur Is a pyramid constructed by the Sumerian civilisation during 21st century BC. The ziggurat was built for the moon goddess Nanna, the divine patron of the city. It was a place where people visit seek both spiritual and physical nourishment.
Sudan
Nubian Pyramids are smaller versions of the Egyptian pyramids. There are more than 200 pyramids dating 200 BC to AD 350. These pyramids are built by Nubian civilisation. They serve as tombs for the kings and queens.
India
Brihadeeswar Temple situated in Thanjavur is one of the largest south Indian temples. It’s built during the Chola Dynasty during 110 AD. Its famous for its architectural symmetry. The temple tower with several tiers decreasing in size the structure appears to be pyramidal in shape.
Indonesia
Borobudur Temple, Java is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Built in the 9th century during Sailendra Dynasty, the temple design follows the Javanese Buddhist Architecture, blends with Indonesian indigenous tradition of worshipping ancestors and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana.
