Reasons why one must take a vacation.

Vacation is the easy ticket to a better mood and healthy life.

We live in a generation where we run with time to stay in the race of life. However, we often forget to stop running and take a break. Humans might be the inventor of machines, but we have to accept the simple fact that our body and mind function in a different manner. It demands time off from a monotonous lifestyle- from deadlines, classes, household chores, grocery runs and others.

Vacation benefits us in the following ways:

It increases mindfulness. Being a workaholic is fine, but indulging in the pile of work every day needs to stop now. Continuous mental grinding is exhausting, and therefore we need to plan a getaway to the beach, mountains or nature. The location change reduces anxiety, stress or depression, and helps us boost our thoughts. According to a study, people opting for vacation (at least once a year) experiences the benefits of increased mindfulness and live happily.

It has an impression to improve heart conditions. Reduction in stress and anxiety level automatically improves the heart condition. Hence, people who take few vacations are more likely to develop coronary heart disease compared to others. As per the study reports, a peaceful break from a daily lifestyle can reduce the metabolic syndrome level by 25% or more. It is the condition that increases the risk factors for heart attacks, strokes or type-II diabetes.

It increases work efficiency in an individual. According to neuroscience experts, the best ideas pops into our mind when it is entirely relaxed. Perhaps vacation is one of the best ways to improve our performance- job or academics. Our brains function in such a manner that when exposed to new culture, language, sights or sound, it boosts our creativity level for the long run.

It strengthens interpersonal relationships. The key to maintaining a relationship is to stay happy with each other. Travelling together adds excitement to the relationship, which eventually benefits both parties. This trick to a happy relationship is applicable for all parents, siblings, spouses or friends.

It increases lifeline. We have already explored the different benefits of vacations. Therefore, we conclude that a healthy heart and mind are the two keys to living a long and beautiful life. Working hard and taking a break must go hand in hand. So, if we plan to increase our lifeline, we must drop an e-mail and plan a weekend trip to a beautiful destination.

Therefore, we must go through our daily schedule and add a vacation to it.
