These records aren’t ranked in any specific order because ranking them is nearly impossible, especially when comparing sports.

To inspire someone is to give them the motivation, capacity or emotion to do or experience anything. There have been numerous professional athletes who have motivated the general public throughout the history of sports. Winning a gold medal at the Summer Olympics is a fantastic accomplishment, but breaking records while doing it is even more impressive.

Rickey Henderson

This man broke many records by using the ultimate combination of speed and power. Throughout his career, Rickey Henderson broke multiple big league baseball records by utilizing the ideal fusion of speed and power. But his passion for the game cemented his place in baseball history. Throughout his 25-year playing career, he was a member of nine teams: Yankees, Athletes, Mets, Padres and Blue Jays. With 1,406 steals, he became the record holder and led the American League in steals 12 times, earning the moniker "Man of Steel."
