212 vs SA Ranchi 2019/20 The 212 against South Africa came in Rohit Sharma's third wind as a test player. Sharma started on a brilliant note after making his debut against West Indies and it seemed as if he was in for the long haul in test cricket at number 6.

Unfortunately, his returns began to dip, especially on overseas tours and Sharma lost his place in the side. He was recalled but another jaunt of overseas nations saw Rohit Sharma lose his place again. Sharma was brought back into the fold at the top of the order in his third wind as a test cricketer and repaid the faith of the selectors by scoring a spectacular 212 against South Africa at Ranchi.

177 vs WI Kolkata 2013/14

In his debut test series against West Indies, Rohit Sharma made the most of his favourite ground - the Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata against a weak bowling attack to start on a brilliant note. His 177 run knock in the first test match of the two match series against West Indies helped India to a comfortable win.

This was the same series in which Sachin Tendulkar retired from all formats of international cricket, after playing his 200th test match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In that match as well, Rohit scored an unbeaten 111 to take India to an easy victory and give Tendulkar a winning farewell.

176 vs SA Vizag 2019/20

In the same series when Rohit struck the above mentioned double century, he had the chance of doubling it up. However, he was dismissed for 176 against South Africa at Vizag in the same series. Nonetheless, it was a fine display of hitting from the opener, particularly against the spinners.

Time and again, Rohit Sharma ventured out of the crease and lofted the spinners over their heads as the ball ended in only one place i.e in the stands.
