We all love traveling when it comes to road trips, people mostly youngsters are absolutely crazy about especially after movies like Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Though many of us cannot afford a road trip in Spain, in India there are various scenic places to hit the road, and having a drive alongside waterside roads are stuff dreams are made of.

Marine Drive is an iconic place in Mumbai that you must have seen in many popular Bollywood movies. Driving on Marine Drive along the road, especially at night, is nothing short of something mesmerizing. While driving here you can witness city lights and lights from the passing vehicles waltz together in unceasing harmony, it will captivate you with its sheer beauty and glitter. In the daytime, you can see the limitless natural bay of the Arabian Sea. The road is C shaped that connects Babulnath and Nariman Point. Beach Road, Pondicherry

The beach road which runs near the beautiful and scenic beauty of the Bay of Bengal provides an unparalleled view of the sea while driving through the road. 

This road passes through Pondicherry’s famous Promenade Beach and gives stunning views of the beach rocks, golden sands, and crystal clear water of the Bay of Bengal. A large number of tourists come here to enjoy the drive on the beach road and witness and enjoy its splendor. This route is about 1.5 kms long and offers scenic beauty to the place.

East Coast Road, Tamil Nadu

East Coast Road or ECR is a scenic and beautiful stretch of road that connects Chennai and Cuddalore via Pondicherry

The East Coast Road of Tamil Nadu is one of the most scenic coastal highways in the country. The two-lane highway is full of beautiful places and along the way, you can enjoy the South Indian countryside full of local art, craft, heritage, hotels, restaurants, etc. And en-route you can halt and visit the ISKON temple at Chennai and Marundeeswarar Temple. This road trip covers 690 kilometers and passes through Pondicherry, Chidambaram, Tranquebar, Karaikal, Nagore, Nagapattinam, Ramanathapuram (near Rameshwaram), and Tuticorin. It is considered as one of the most scenic coastal highways in the whole country.
