Combating stress and anxiety can be harder during uncertain times when things seem bleak. However, implementing small but powerful habits that can improve the quality of your life can go a long way. Adding a few Ayurveda practices into your daily routine could help you achieve the right balance for your mind and body.  Best of all, you don't have to make drastic changes in your day. Here are a few Ayurveda practices that may help to improve your wellbeing.

  1. Consume a warm beverage in the morning
As soon as you wake up, drink a warm beverage that is good for your digestive system before you consume food or coffee. This act will help the body to digest and process food in a healthier way. A glass of warm water is a good option to try.
  1. Consume soft food for breakfast
Soft foods like oatmeal or porridge will be easier choices to choose as your morning meal for your digestive system. This will help enable the body to better break down the food and obtain the right nutrients.
  1. Keep a gap of six hours between meals
It is important to give your digestive system a break from food, so it does not overwhelm the system. Consume your biggest meal for lunch and the smallest meal for breakfast or dinner. Ensure all your meals include nutrient-rich foods that can help sustain your throughout the day.
  1. Consume water every 20 minutes
If you find yourself feeling thirsty a lot during the day, that could be a sign of dehydration. To keep your body hydrated at all times, it is important to drink water every 20 minutes. This will help your digestive system function better.
  1. Include herbs and spices in your diet
Regularly including ginger, garlic, cumin, pepper, and turmeric into your diet could help protect the body against cardiovascular disease and digestive system issues.
  1. Sweat it out
Release the toxins and impurities from your body by sweating it out. You can either take a short walk or do a quick workout. Physical activity can also help your body get rid of water weight that is not required.
