The Atlantic Road, Averoey, Norway.

Norway’s Atlantic Road has a bridge that is so curvy and steep that it looks never-ending from many angles. If you are unlucky and driving on a rainy and stormy day when even huge waves crash over the barricades of the bridge and wild wind can send your vehicle tumbling over the narrow bridge.

The Stelvio Pass, Italy.

With 48 sharpest passes and 9000ft. uphill, Stelvio Pass is one of the scariestroads in the Italian Alps. You can be distracted by the panoramic view of the Alps, but don’t let it take your eyes off the road. The road has a low to no barrier between you and a steep mountain drop. Truly a treacherous path!

The Guoliang Tunnel, China.

A group of hard-working and brave villagers carved the famous Guoliang Tunnel in China’s Taihang mountain by hand. This feat took almost five years to get completed. It is wide enough to be driven along, but there is just one catch. This road does not tolerate mistakes, as just thirty windows give a glimpse of the mountain drop, which has no barriers at all.

Do you know that this road is so dangerous that drivers have to apply for a special permit to drive on it? This gravel road without any barriers was made in the 19th century by miners. It is winding and too narrow. You just pray to your guardian angel not to make you come face to face with another vehicle while driving on this road.

This road is filled with steep cliffs, sharp turns and that too without any guardrails. Locals suggest that the name comes from the early travellerswho maintained that you have to pay a million-dollar to drive through this road again!
