Some Rosamund Pike on-screen roles one must watch

The gorgeous actor is an excellent actor

Having started her career with stage productions such as Romeo and Juliet, English actor Rosamund Pike grew into prominence after portraying the Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day. With her debut breakthrough as the Bond girl, followed films like The Libertine and Pride & Prejudice. But, it was her performance in the 2014 psychological thriller Gone Girl that was met with widespread critical acclaim, winning her the Saturn Award for Best Actress and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Here is a list of her few films that you should watch.

Promised Land This 2004 French-Israeli film by director Amos Gitai stars Diana Bespechni, and Hanna Schygulla besides Rosamund Pike. The story of the film revolves around a group of East European girls who have been smuggled into Israel, to serve as prostitutes. Among the group of women who are ready to cross the border in secret after which they will be auctioned off in a brothel, Diana, played by Bespechni, meets Rose, played by Pike, and begs her for help. And the two women embark on a mission to save other women.

The Libertine This British-Australian drama is the first film of director Laurence Dunmore and was adapted by Stephen Jeffreys from his play of the same name. The film stars Johnny Depp, John Malkovich, and Samantha Morton besides Rosamund Pike. With Depp as John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester - a notorious rake and libertine poet in the court of King Charles II of England, Pike plays his wife Elizabeth Malet. The film revolves around John Wilmot over his love for poetry and women, and at the same time explores themes of corruption of a people by their self-indulgent monarch and the pursuit of hedonism.

Radioactive This 2020 British biographical drama by director Marjane Satrapi stars Rosamund Pike as the legendary physicist and chemist Marie Curie. The film is based on the graphic novel Radioactive: Marie & Pierre Curie: A Tale of Love and Fallout by Lauren Redniss. The film shows how Marie and her husband helped the world by controlling radiation while damaging their own health. The film further shows how the element became a source for both good and bad in the future.
