Spring Break movies to binge watch this summer
There is nothing mindless about spring break movies. Change my mind.
Spring break themed movies are supposed to be like it actually is. Spring break is for chilling and being lit. It is almost like a rite of passage. Whether the theme is to get heavily lit through break-from-life-by-partying-three-days-in-a-row culture or taking a road, bus, cruise trip, the point of these movies is to take a break from the mundane year.
Check out these super fun spring break movies that you can binge through the summer.
Euro Trip: A group of four friends go traipsing around Europe, hitting London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin among other cities. With equal doses of humour, awkwardness and fun-frolic scenes, it is worthy of a binge session.
The Edge of Seventeen: If spring break party scene is not your kind of scene, The Edge of Seventeen might be for you. Teenage angst, post-school awkwardness place this movie far away from the teenage cliches and girl gone wild culture and turns it into something more.
22 Jump Street: Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill goes undercover to college as the second instalment of the Jump Street. Tatum becomes wildly famous, leaving Hill feeling incompetent with the rest of the cool kids. Experience college in all its cliches, some broken friendships and the ultimate showdown in a beach spring break rave.
Spring Breakers: A quartet of girls raise funds for their St Petersburg spring break party by pulling a heist at a diner. They get rescued by a DJ only to learn their trip is going too insane than they had planned.
Psycho Beach Party: If 90’s parties are your thing, if slasher flicks are your thing, Psycho Beach Party is going to be your cup of tea. A modern throwback to a ‘90s vibes with a killer one the loose packs a real punch to those who like the genre.
Van Wilder: Van Wilder could either make your laugh out loud or barf out loud. This comedy starring Ryan Reynolds will make you cringe and if unthought of gross humour is your cup of tea, binge away.
47 Metres Down: What could possibly go wrong when two girls go to explore the white shark underwater in a metal cage? Turn out many things. While party scenes is a cliched spring break thing, underwater survival against a shark is not. But seriously, watch it for the adrenaline and anxiety.
Spring Breakdown: When Becky is instructed to keep her senator boss’ daughter out of danger at a spring break, Becky’s friends join along. What follows is a crazy-filled messy scene the adults are not fully prepared for.
