Also known as the Land of Smiles, Thailand is home to a wide array of wildlife species, some of which are even rare! So, it comes as no surprise that the country has a number of excellent zoos that all the wildlife lovers would surely love to visit! Khao Kheow Open Zoo: Located in Bang Phra, Khao Kheow Open Zoo is one of the best (if not the best) in Thailand. The zoo spreads over 2000 acres of land and is home to more than 8000 animals of 300 species. The list includes Tigers, Snakes, Tapirs, Lions, Rhinos, Elephants, Hyenas, Giraffes, and a lot more. Here, most of the animals roam freely in an open, natural environment.

Dusit Zoo: Dusit Zoo is the oldest zoo in Thailand. Located in the Dusit district of Bangkok, this zoo boasts more than 2,000 animals - such as Camels, Penguins, White Bengal Tigers, Monkeys, Albino Barking Deers, and more. Also, there is a museum where you can learn a lot about wildlife. It also offers Bird Shows along with Boating, Tram Rides, etc.

Safari World: Safari World is more of an entertainment park where you can spend some fun time with your close ones. Opened in 1988, the zoo spreads over 500 acres of land and is divided into two sections - Safari Park & Marine Park. It offers various shows regularly that involve animals like Lions, Dolphins, Elephants, etc. For the best experience, visit the park early as it remains crowded throughout the day.

Chiang Mai Zoo: Chiang Mai Zoo is one of those few zoos that house the Giant Pandas from China. Spreading over a large area, the zoo is divided into some sections such as African Zone, Panda Zone, Bird Park, etc. Here, you can spot more than 400 species of animals roaming carefree in their natural habitat.

Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo: Nakhon Ratchasima Zoo is a relatively smaller zoo located in Chai Mongkhon. The entire area is home to more than 500 animals that you can watch for hours. It features Penguin and Seal Exhibit along with a Dino Park, Children's Garden, etc. Also, there are several stalls selling authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. It boasts a peaceful ambiance that fills the visitors' souls with happy vibes.
